“Squad Haus: Subreddits for Everything”
Problem
The knowledge about a topic is dispersed across a variety of sources: books, newletters, tweets, podcast clips, and web pages. It cannot be easily ranked algorithmically.
Solution
Squad Haus aggregates content across various platforms and indexes them by topic. Experts and content creators are organized in topic-based squads, and everything they create is surfaced on their squad page.
Storyboard
Topics are broken down into very specific squads, similar to Twitter lists. Each squad is invite-only and is seeded with the top experts about that topic.
Each creator links their platforms so that Squad Haus can aggregate all the content they produce.
A squad page shows an aggregated view of all its members’ content, from all the different services and formats.
Viewers help keep the squad page relevant by ‘liking’ pieces of content
Since squads are invite-only collections of creators, the members can customize their squad page to promote collabs, events, and other initiatives.
Value Prop
Creators and subject-matter experts have a directory where they can be discovered and followed. Squad pages allow them to address their collective audience as a group.
Consumers can navigate their interests by topic, rather than following each creator individually, across all the platforms.
