Mood Surf is a tool to navigate Twitter conversations around your interests. We want you to lean into conversations that are fueling and interesting to you, chasing random tangents.

There are two very simple functions:

Shuffle surfaces new and interesting crevices of thought that you might not have stumbled upon otherwise.

Dive Deeper takes you down a rabbit hole that excites you.

Our hope is that using Mood Surf should be delightful, and would engrain a strong sense of curiosity in people.

Mood Surf is created by the team at Re:Search. We realized that the attention economy captures our time in all the wrong ways. Complex algorithms steer us toward content that leaves us feeling empty. Search engines and social media feeds are littered with brand-driven, SEO-optimized content.

We became interested in a vision of the web centered on people, not nameless sources; a web where you decide what you want to see next.

We started with Twitter threads as a simple form of content that captures real people’s thoughts and observations. Our hope is to expand into other written forms, including blogs, personal homepages, and more.

We’re deeply invested in creating products to enable better information discovery, so we’ll continue to build features in Mood Surf for you to better understand your exploration journey by mapping your topic spaces, tracking your session length, and earning badges for top fields you’ve uncovered.
